Harry Winston’s Divine Time is a scintillating and versatile high jewellery timepiece that can either be worn as a pendant or on the wrist as a traditional timepiece.
Set with an array of glistening diamonds, the watch is said to capture the spirit of the Art Deco movement of the 1930s in New York to perfection.
Pendant watches have always been a glamorous way for women to wear their timepieces and are currently making a revival.
Last year, Harry Winston unveiled the romantic Rosebud Heart. In continuing in this tradition, Divine Time, is high jewellery timepiece destined to attract women who value versatility and the spectacular sparkle of fine diamonds, the New York-based house says.
An array of diamonds, cut in different shapes and sizes, covers the entire surface of the 18-karat white gold timepiece and demonstrates the expertise of Harry Winston’s stone cutters and gem setters.
Starting from the centre, the dial is paved with 188 brilliant-cut diamonds and set with six stunning marquise diamonds, which also serve as hour markers.
Rather than setting the marquise diamonds directly on the base of the dial, the gem setters placed them on top of the pavé diamonds, giving the dial an extraordinary sense of depth and allowing the light to reach all facets of the gemstones.
Echoing the silhouette of the curvaceous case are 28 brilliant-cut diamonds crowned at both ends by a magnificent trio of diamonds. Larger than any of the other diamonds used to embellish the timepiece, the triumphant ensemble of a baguette-cut diamond flanked by two marquise diamonds is absolutely captivating.
Divine Time can be worn as a pendant, with a Harry Winston tag set with a brilliant-cut diamond on an 18-karat white gold chain, or around the wrist on an openwork alligator leather strap, which is embellished with an additional 27 brilliant-cut diamonds on the ardillon buckle.
The transformation from pendant to timepiece is done with great ease and allows for the versatility of the wearer.
