Milan’s fixed based operators (FBOs) are showing off their bespoke services at the MEBAA Show Morocco, which gets under way in Marrakech today.
The two FBOs – Milano Linate Prime and Milano Malpensa Prime – are operated by Milano Prime, whose parent is Sea Prime.
Sea Prime had a very successful 2016, with revenues €11.4 million, an EBITDA of €3.9 million and a net profit of € 2.1 million – 20 per cent more than 2015.
In 2016 Milano Linate Prime registered more than 21,000 movements, becoming the foremost business and general aviation airport in Italy and one of the top five in Europe.
The trend has continued in 2017, and last month the number of flights rose 14 per cent over the same period in 2016.
In the first weekend of September alone, Milano Linate Prime recorded more than 600 aircraft movements as it welcomed pilots, teams, sponsors and VIPs on their way to the F1 Grand Prix, and offered a helicopter shuttle service to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit.
Following this success, Milano Prime says it is now ready for the next challenge - the opening of Milano Malpensa Prime’s VIP terminal dedicated to passengers at Milano Malpensa international airport.
“Thanks to Milano Malpensa Prime, located so close to Switzerland, to the lakes and to famous ski destinations like Sankt Moritz, Chamonix and Courmayeur, we will offer another exclusive gateway to Milan and to the heart of Europe,” says Chiara Dorigotti, General Manager of SEA Prime.
With a 1,200-sq-m FBO and a 5,000-sq-m hangar already operational, Milano Malpensa Prime’s VIP terminal is expected to be opened in 2018.
Sea Prime and Milano Prime are both present at the show (booth T7).
SEA Prime was established in 2015 following Sea’s acquisition of ATA Ali Trasporti Aerei and ATA Ali Servizi. It manages all the airport infrastructure at Milano Linate Prime, including the GAT, 10 hangars, the passenger and crew lounges and the BMW Business Centre.
Milano Prime manages an apron of about 70,000 sq m, and 11 hangars for a total of 29,000 sq m in Milano Linate Prime and Milano Malpensa Prime.
