Two new yachts from Italian boat builder Baglietto are making their global debut at the Cennes Yachting Festival currently under way in France.
The two new stars are Andiamo, a 48-m displacement yacht, and Ridoc, the first MV19. They are both designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with architect Margherita Casprini involved with the interiors.
Their naval architecture comes from Baglietto’s technical department.
The Ridoc will also mark the Baglietto’s comeback among the protagonists of the Genoa Boat Show, to be held from September 21 to 26.
Andiamo will then be back on the French Riviera at the Monaco Yacht Show, from September 27 to 30.
Baglietto will continue the boat show season at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from November 5 to 9.
After the delivery of the first MV19 and the Andiamo in June, four hulls are currently under construction at the shipyard in La Spezia. These include a new 55-m displacement motor-yacht, a 43-m Fast, and a second 48-m displacement yacht, the sistership of Andiamo.
Finally, the construction of a new 54-m all-aluminum yacht has just started.
“We are very proud that Baglietto is finally back among the most important international shipyards,” says Baglietto CEO Michele Gavino. “We have put great efforts into research and project development over the last few years to define different platforms having a contemporary design and able to ensure maximum comfort and performance. Baglietto confirms itself as an international brand and will undoubtedly be one of the protagonists of the boat show season.”
ANDIAMO
Andiamo is at Cannes following a long summer cruise in the Mediterranean waters.
Great volumes and comfortable liveability typical of Baglietto yachts represent the main characteristics of this project as it can count on 340 sq m of luxury areas.
The interiors offer a custom designed 6-cabin layout requested by the owner, which makes her the perfect for long cruises with family and friends. Spacious external areas are fully devoted to conviviality and life in the open air.
A conversation area welcomes the guests on the main deck. Interiors are contemporary and very captivating thank to the great use of precious materials like onyx and lacquered ebony which characterized the entire yacht. The dark wood of the wall in the main saloon attenuate thanks to the warm and captivating effects of the clear floor in onyx and of the white carpet and white lacquered wall.
The main saloon offers a unique space interrupted by a cabinet with pop-up TV and it includes a relaxation area with sofas on the sides and a dining area for 12. A backlit onyx wall enhances the light in this room. All furniture in Andiamo is custom-made, expressly designed for the owner.
The master stateroom is located forward on the main deck and includes a dressing room and two separate bathrooms with shower and steam room. Amidship a winding staircase in steel and leather, which is the central element of the entire yacht, connects the three decks. Always amidship on this deck the crew quarters include the galley, the crew mess and the laundry, leaving maximum space for the accommodation area on the lower deck.
The lower deck is fully dedicated to guests and offers a custom 5-cabin layout which makes Andiamo the perfect for charter as well. Here you can find 2 VIP cabins, 1 guests cabin and 2 twin cabins all with ensuite baths. Forward the crew quarters can accommodate 8 members in 4 cabins.
The garage is aft and hosts a 6-m tender. Behind the garage, the beach platform with access from the main deck is equipped with sun beds, bar and shower.
The sky lounge includes a cinema room with custom-built round sofas with central screen. Two terraces open on the sides to enjoy the sea view at its best. At the bow on the same deck the wheelhouse is equipped with I-bridge system supplied by Telemar.
Andiamo is fitted with a state-of-the-art integrated foil panel featuring the navigation and steering controls. A sophisticated Internet Vsat solution guarantees connections in any sea condition.
The Captain’s cabin and the radio room are next to the wheelhouse.
Outside aft on this deck another wide table for 12 guests is located.
The wide sun-deck is devoted to outdoor activities: a 140 sq m area at the stern a pool includes a poll with a waterfall and tanning beds. The lunch area, completed by coffee-bar, barbecue, grill and refrigerator, is directly connected to the galley thanks to a lift.
A wide sun-bathing area is located forward.
The deck offers 360-degree views enhanced by the use of glass bulwarks.
Andiamo is powered by 2 MTU engines 12V4000M63 which allow a comfortable top speed of 16 knots and cruising speed of 12 knots.
RIDOC
Ridoc is first in the MV19 series, which represents the natural evolution of the MV13 and has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design with Baglietto, both in terms of the exterior lines and the interiors.
The Baglietto technical office is responsible for the hull, plant and propulsion designs.
The MV series draws its inspiration from the First and Second World War MAS paying tribute to the military crafts that made the success history of the Liguria-based yachting brand by reinterpreting some of their peculiar features and shapes in a modern style matching them with architectural elements adapted from the open segment.
The symmetrical air intakes along the hull free board underline the rigorous style of both Francesco Paszkowski and the Baglietto open lines themselves. The metallic dark grey colour enhances the aggressive lines of the boat giving her strength and power.
The interior, created in cooperation with Margherita Casprini, focuses on in-depth exploration of materials and finishes to combine a retro allure with contemporary comfort demands. Also, the most updated audio-visual systems with satellite TV are included on board: a feature which is unusual in boat of this size. The upholstery is in Canaletto nut together with white lacquered walls while all the floors are in dark oak. The result is a beautifully accessorized boat that still has a powerfully decisive character consistent with the sporty look of the exterior.
The layout of Ridoc presents the master cabin forward and two guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms amidship. In between is a spacious open dinette with comfortable sofas and a well-equipped galley. According to the owner’s wishes, a third cabin for the captain with direct access from the exterior has been included.
The steering position with 24-ft screen is exterior. Behind it there is a comfortable dinette with wet bar. Forward and aft there are two large sun pad areas with cushions.
The deep V-shaped hull allows high performances and improved seakeeping as well as perfect maneuverability. The yacht, entirely built in aluminium, can reach a considerable maximum speed of approximately 40 knots thanks to twin MAN V12 1800hp engines
Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 35 and 50 m in length and steel and aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 m. The company’s activities also include top-quality ship repair and refitting services, as well as the construction of military crafts, the Seagull brand’s traditional business.
Extending over an area of more than 35,000 sq m overlooking the Gulf of the Poets – a strategic area for mega-yacht traffic in the Tyrrhenian sea, the shipyard recently completed an extensive reconstruction project that involved both its manufacturing and commercial facilities.
