Dutch luxury yacht builder Amels will introduce 74-m New Secret, one of the largest and most prestigious superyacht debuts at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.
Amels will also welcome the newly delivered 55-m Lili to the event, while Damen will display its new generation of Yacht Support vessels Game Changer and New Frontiers in Port Hercules from September 27 to 30.
The 74-m Amels 242 from the Limited Editions range is the second of four 242 yachts now delivered or in build. New Secret has an exterior design by Tim Heywood and the owners’ choice of Winch Design for the custom interiors in a sophisticated modern style.
New Secret was delivered in May 2017 and has since cruised Norway and the Western Mediterranean. The owners kindly agreed to bring New Secret to the Monaco Yacht Show as a showcase for the Amels Limited Editions range. New Secret is not for sale or charter and the superyacht will be open to a limited number of exclusive visits by appointment with Amels.
AMELS 180 SHOWCASE
On display at the prime T-Central location, Lili is a wonderful showcase of the Amels Limited Editions range. She is a highly customised 55-m Amels 180; the first to feature a bridge deck master suite. Lili has quickly proven popular as a charter yacht with Imperial as central agent. Amels is exhibiting Lili together with Imperial, offering clients the most exclusive high-end charter experiences with the very highest Amels quality and finishing.
Amels delivered Lili in June 2017, just over 12 months after her sale in May 2016. Imperial acted as broker for the sale, owner’s representative and construction supervisor. Among the owner-requested features, Lili has a unique Tim Heywood exterior colour scheme, extended sun deck with an extra-large 4-metre swimming pool, and custom interiors by designer Laura Sessa.
NEW FRONTIERS
Alongside the Amels superyacht LILI on T-Central, the 55-m New Frontiers is Damen’s latest project — the culmination of nearly 10 years of Damen Yacht Support design and engineering experience.
New Frontiers will take her owner into new territory with a blend of adventure and superyacht support functions. This is a new evolution in the Yacht Support range featuring for the first time accommodation for 6 guests – as well as the Yacht Support functionality with a large deck crane and accommodation for 4 staff, pilots, security or guides.
GAME CHANGER
Game Changer is Damen’s latest 70-m Yacht Support vessel which now features the much-requested all-weather protected helicopter hangar. Berthed at the show next to New Secret, the Amels 242 yacht, Game Changer stands out with a superyacht quality finish, offering a perfect combination of style and capability to support the mother yacht.
Delivered in early summer 2017, Game Changer has offices, facilities and accommodation for 23 staff, pilots, security and crew. The vessel also has a fully certified helideck, deck space for tenders and toys, below deck space for cargo, dive centre or owner-specific function. It can also carry a huge amount of extra provisions, fuel (marine, aviation and petrol), luggage and spare parts.
Amels will welcome visitors at its location on T-Central to see models of the 55 to 83-m Limited Editions range, including the new Amels 206, and discuss new Full Custom yachts and Refit projects.
The Damen team will be on hand to discuss the Yacht Support range of vessels as well as the SeaXplorer range of luxury expedition yachts, including the recently sold SeaXplorer 75 and the newest member of the range, the SeaXplorer 55.
