Silver Arrows Marine’s Arrow 460 Granturismo is now available in a range of colours in addition to silver, until now the only colour in which the Mercedes-styled yacht has been seen.
Designed by Mercedes-Benz Style as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class of the seas, the first edition of the 14-m yacht was launched in April last year.
The collection offers clients a choice of five themed colour and trim packages as well as an opportunity to work with Mercedes-Benz Style colour and trim specialists on bespoke design solutions, raising the prospect of owners commissioning a Silver Arrows yacht to match their Mercedes-Benz car.
Ties between Mercedes-Benz automobile design and the shape of the yacht is strong already, as shown by their shared design ethos focusing on sensual purity. Such a sleek shape, with its innovative car-like cabin and opening roof and windows, becomes even more dramatic when seen in some of the new colours available, the UK yacht builder says.
The five themed packages all mirror colours available with the Mercedes-Benz automobile range: White, Red, Yellow and Grey, plus the Edition 1 colour Silver Arrow Silver.
Each is matched to carefully chosen interior colourways and trim materials, including exquisite 3D wood and the best quality leathers, exclusive floor design and hi-tech fabrics.
Silver Arrows Marine builds luxury motor yachts whose design purity captures the sporting elegance of today’s finest Granturismo cars. Partnered by Mercedes-Benz Style and some of the world’s foremost marine architects and suppliers, the first Arrow460-Granturismo, unveiled in spring 2016, introduces a completely new way of looking at, and living with, a 14-m motor yacht, reconfiguring it to embrace life with an abundance of light, space and hi-tech functionality.
Since 2010, in addition to classic automobile design, Mercedes-Benz designers have also created the designs for other products in cooperation with selected partners under the label Mercedes-Benz Style. The aim is to transfer Mercedes-Benz's unmistakable, progressive design idiom and high standards of luxury and aesthetic appeal to other spheres of life.
