McLaren’s new 720S made its debut at the 2017 EXCS Motorshow in Riyadh.
The car was displayed by Nahwasharq, McLaren’s new retailer in Saudi Arabia, which will be launching its new Riyadh showroom before the end of the year.
The 720S is the second-generation of McLaren’s Super Series and represents the new interpretation of McLaren design language and dedication to aerodynamic principles, personifying the brand’s extreme performance DNA.
It features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and on to top speed of 341 kmph.
The carbon fibre chassis is based around Monocage II central structure which is key to the 1,283 kg dry weight and unparalleled interior space and visibility.
Sabah Al-Kraidees, Vice President of Nahwasharq, said the company was excited to introduce the 720S for the first time in Saudi Arabia through the show, which offered a great opportunity to connect with supercar aficionados and offer them an insight into McLaren’s world.
Andreas Bareis, Managing Director of McLaren Middle East, Africa & Latin America, said McLaren was delighted to appoint Nahwasharq as its Saudi dealer and was looking forward to the launch of the brand new showroom which would showcase the carmaker’s exciting product line-up.
In addition to the McLaren 720S, the McLaren 570GT and the 570S Coupé were also displayed during the show.
The 11th edition of EXCS Motorshow ran from October 5 to 8 at the Four Seasons in Riyadh.
