As it celebrates a decade since introducing the region’s first polo resort, Desert Palm Dubai formally becomes Meliã Desert Palm Dubai on July 1, and with that a new era begins for the 39-key destination resort.
Meliã Hotels International will bring its unique blend of service and hospitality, garnered over the last 60 years, and infuse the resort with a touch of Spanish flair.
James Reeves, General Manager of Meliã Desert Palm Dubai, said: “It’s an exciting time for the resort, with a reinvigoration for the team, the introduction of new elements including Meliã's world renowned customer service culture programme, and access to Meliã Rewards for our loyal guests. Since making the announcement in April, we have been focused on the transition, and we are all excited to start the second half of the year in our new guise.”
Meliã Desert Palm Dubai has welcomed a raft of revisions to its product offering since the start of the year, particularly for the rooms and spa. The rooms and suites have been upgraded and given a refresh to lift their overall look and feel with more to follow in the coming months.
With the development and launch of the property’s new spa; Samana Spa, it has a core focus on organic wellness and clean beauty. The Spa has introduced a Tisserand Aromatherapy Bar, VitaJuwel Water Counter, intense seaweed treatments from the Irish-coast with Voya and the continued partnership with the Hungarian organic facial specialists Eminence which completes the beauty line-up. Now guests at Samana Spa can take more responsibility and have a healthy approach to their wellness regime.
Next on the schedule for the resort, will be new additions to the menus for Rare, the oak-wood grill fine dining restaurant. Chef Stefan Beutler and his team are refining dishes, tweaking flavours, yet leaving the firm favourites in place for our regular guests. Epicure, the all-day dining restaurant situated on the resort infinity pool, with views of the polo fields will continue to offer its diverse and plentiful menu of day-time delights.
Francois Kassab, Managing Director Middle East & Africa, said: “We are and will continue to be Dubai’s hidden gem, a reputation we are proud of. As Meliã Desert Palm Dubai, guests can expect the same spectacular surroundings and our team are all on hand to bring a sense of the familiar, yet revitalised with Meliã's soul matters philosophy.”
