A Lange & Söhne, a German maker of high quality and prestige watches, has launched its Blue Series in the captivating light of Dubai’s blue hour.
The watchmaker’s four models Lange 1, Lange 1 Daymatic, Saxonia and Saxonia Automatic received deep-blue solid-silver dials and exquisite white-gold cases for a classic and elegant look.
The new timepieces are now available in Dubai, where they made a strong appearance against the backdrop of Dubai’s breathtaking skyline.
“Dubai’s blue hour is treasured by photographers for its calm and mysterious atmosphere. The soft light is perfectly suited to capture the characteristic silhouette and shimmering lights of the city. The booming metropolis is home to some of the most impressive architectural landscapes,” the prestigious watchmaker says.
“In this urban environment, this time of day perfectly complements the four A. Lange & Söhne blue dial watches as it accentuates the deep-blue shade of their galvanised solid-silver dials and the contrasting white-gold cases,” it says.
The new watches feature state-of-the-art manufacture calibres that showcase all traditional Lange-style quality hallmarks — from the artisanal finissage of all movement parts to the elaborate two-fold assembly process. Even those surfaces that will later no longer be visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback are lavishly finished and decorated. And the hand-engraved balance cock, with the classic whiplash spring, beautifully symbolises Lange’s ambition to reconcile two objectives: the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and the pursuit of ultimate precision to meet the needs of today and tomorrow, says A. Lange & Söhne.
With Dubai being an impressive place where “future meets past”, there could hardly be a better platform for staging these timepieces, says Wilhelm Schmid, CEO of A Lange & Söhne.
“It has always been the conviction of our brand that innovation and tradition don’t need to be contradictory. In fact, one might even say that we are innovative by tradition. While we adhere to the artisan tradition, research and development has always played a key role in implementing our strategy of making meaningful contributions to the advancement of haute horlogerie,” he says.
