Spring/Summer 2019
The House of Garrad, the jewellery house that has been working closely with the British royal family since 1735, as well as royalty around the world, presents some of its most iconic collections for the forthcoming Eid.
Throughout its history, Garrard has created many famous jewels, including tiaras still worn at state occasions and the sapphire cluster engagement ring worn by the Duchess of Cambridge. This heritage of iconic designs continues to inform the creation of Garrard jewels today. Silverware and trophies have also been commissioned over the centuries, among them the Royal Ascot Gold Cup and the Dubai World Cup.
The collections on offer include:
• Wings Embrace: Launched in 2018 to mark the 15th anniversary of the House’s iconic Wings collection, this range evokes the feeling of being gently held within an angel’s wings.
• Fanfare: The collection comprises mother-of-pearl fan pendants, sapphire-encrusted ear cuffs and emerald and diamond rings in exquisite fan-inspired silhouettes.
• Muse: At the heart of the collection are Signature Serpent and Starlight, both informed by the motifs so dearly loved by Queen Alexandra.
• Enchanted Palace: The Great Exhibition (now known simply as Expo) held in the purpose built Crystal Palace in 1851 was a treasure trove of Victorian design. This collection captures the spirit of the era.
