A two-Michellin-starred chef from the UK will be flying down to the UAE to offer some of his signature dishes at an Abu Dhabi restaurant for eight days next month.
Michael Caines will offer guests a special à la carte menu, tasting menu and a one-off hosted four-course dinner at Scott’s restaurant in Jumeirah at Etihad Towers from February 1 to 8.
The Michael Caines gourmet celebration is part of a promotion jointly undertaken by the hotel and Etihad Guest – Etihad Airways’s loyalty programme - to welcome one of Britain’s most acclaimed chefs to the UAE capital.
Each day of the culinary celebration will provide visitors the opportunity to enjoy the chef;s signature cuisine style that is modern, based on the finest produce and ingredients, yet rooted in classic cooking techniques and traditions, the hotel says.
The specially created à la carte lunch and dinner menu will be offered daily and feature such signature dishes as lobster fricassée, tuna and scallop tartar, pan-roasted veal fillet and apple dessert. Throughout the promotion period a tasting menu will also be offered for lunch and dinner costing Dh550 ($150) ++ per person.
On Friday February 6, Caines will host his own gourmet station at the popular Chill & Grill Brunch at Nahaam followed by the highlight of the week, which is a one-off four-course hosted dinner with grape pairing on Saturday, February 7 and costs Dh550 ($150) ++ per person.
Adding to the celebrations the Scott’s upper deck terrace, which looks out onto the Arabian Gulf, will be open every evening throughout Chef Caines’s visit from 9 pm to late and will offer quality beverages, bar menu snacks prepared by the chef and DJ musical accompaniment.
Scott’s is opened for lunch from 12-3.30 pm daily, and for dinner from 7-11.30 pm daily.
