The inaugural MEBAA Show Morocco will hosts as many as 50 exhibitors, the organisers said.
The news was revealed following the signing of an official agreement in the Moroccan capital Rabat earlier this month to host the event, which will be the first business aviation show in North Africa.
The Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) signed the agreement for the organisation of MEBAA Show Morocco with El Aoufir Zouhir, Director of the Office National Des Aéroports (ONDA), in the presence of the Moroccan Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics Aziz Rebbah.
MEBAA Show Morocco will take place at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca on September 1 and 2, 2015, under the patronage of Rebbah.
MEBAA Founding Chairman Ali Alnaqbi said: “North Africa is an emerging market, especially for aviation; in particular it is drawing manufacturers looking for proximity to established markets. MEBAA is proud to launch the MEBAA Show Morocco, which will provide a platform for business aviation growth in this region.”
MEBAA Show Morocco will offer access to the entire supply-chain of the business aviation sector. The inaugural edition is expected to host 50 exhibitors ranging from the OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to FBOs (fixed base operators), leasing companies, insurance brokers, financiers, operators, pilots and suppliers; while featuring 25 aircraft on its static display.
The event will he organised by F&E Aerospace on behalf of the association.
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).
Established in 2006, MEBAA is a non-profit association with a mission to provide a platform for members to gather, understand and communicate the needs and benefits of the industry.
As part of its current growth strategy, the association seeks to implement operational safety and efficiency by providing best in-practice training, lectures and conferences, establishing codes of conduct, and providing industry data.
Today, MEBAA represents over 235 companies within the Mena region and provides a number of products and services to its members, including the MAIS (MEBAA Aviation Insurance Scheme) insurance scheme for operators.
In addition to various networking events, MEBAA hosts the MEBAA Show in Dubai, UAE, which ranks as the third largest business aviation show in the world.
The inaugural edition will be MEBAA’s first business aviation event in North Africa and a must attend event for anyone involved in chartering, leasing, selling, purchasing, operating and servicing business and VIP jets, according to the organisers.
