Luxury watch and jewellery manufacturer Chopard recently treated a select audience to an exclusive preview of its Imperiale Collection in Dubai, UAE.
The Swiss house hosted the event last week along with local retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons at Burj Al Arab’s hotel’s sumptuous Sunset Garden.
In the garden setting, guests and members of the press were treated to a showcase of the Imperiale Collection with sculptural models revealing their precious jewels like princesses in their palace court.
Following the catwalk, guests were treated to a cocktail followed by a lunch in the garden’s premises.
Chopard’s contemporary and elegant Imperiale Collection draws on the grandeur of the Roman Empire for inspiration.
The Imperiale watch appeals first and foremost by its harmonious proportions and refined details. Endowed with a powerful and symbolic character, it asserts itself as the natural choice for daring women, says Chopard.
The serene strength of its details distils a wealth of characteristics that are all nods to the heyday of the imperial age. Roman numerals punctuate the dial, while the curved hands are reminiscent of the tapered daggers used by sovereigns in battle. The shape of the lugs reflects the tradition of ancient columns famed for their perfectly balanced proportions.
Finally, a diamond-set crown delicately curved like a lotus flower is fitted on the case middle with its pure, sleek sides designed to give the model a lighter touch and an even more lustrous glow. The sheer wealth and finesse of its details make the Imperiale collection an eminently feminine model that echoes the spirit and the splendour of imperial classicism.
IMPERIALE JEWELLERY
The Imperiale watch inspired an eminently feminine jewellery collection imbued with a refined sophistication.
Beneath an exquisite set of arabesque motifs, amethysts reveal the power and beauty of their majestic purple - the imperial colour since Byzantine times.
Interlaced three dimensional rose gold lacework outlines the noble profile of a decorative motif which brings to mind the embroidery of the hangings and cushions on which monarchs would place their insignia. Present throughout the entire Imperiale watch and jewellery collection, this motif infuses the line with its strength of character and regal bearing, Chopard adds.
