ME's first Andaz hotel among region's '15 best new hotels'

Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, owned by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec), has been listed on Condé Nast Traveller (CNT) Middle East’s ‘Hot List 2019: The 15 Best New Hotels in the Middle East’.

Located in the Capital Gate tower, the iconic ‘Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi’ offers unsurpassed views of the city and its coastline.

According to Condé Nast Traveller, the 188-room hotel - which is also the first Hyatt property in the emirate - is the world’s furthest-leaning man-made tower with an 18-degree inclination.

Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi pays homage to its location through incorporating local art that takes guests on a journey through the UAE’s vibrant history and culture. The hotel features a permanent art collection and unique displays of craftsmanship, including Khatt calligraphy and traditional Sadu weaving.

Welcoming guests as they enter the building is 165 Below, an art gallery for emerging local talent, and as they head up to the reception on the 18th floor, they will discover more artworks, including a wall of original pieces by Iraqi calligrapher Wissam Shawkat, as well as an art installation by Talin Hazbar and sculptures by Mohammed Kazem and eL Seed.

Adnec Group plays a vital role in achieving the emirate’s ambition of becoming the preferred destination for business meetings and events that aligns with the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, it said in a statement.

Adnec’s continued investment in the hotel industry is part of the company’s core business strategy of promoting Abu Dhabi as a leading business tourism hub. In 2018 alone, Adnec helped generate an impressive 473,454 guest nights for the hospitality sector in the emirate., it said.
