Falcon Private Bank elected Walter Berchtold as a new member of its Board of Directors at its annual general meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, last week.
Berchtold looks back at a successful banking career of over 30 years, during which he held various prestigious international private banking positions.
He was a member of the Executive Board at Credit Suisse Group from 2003 to 2012 and CEO Private Banking at Credit Suisse from 2006 to 2011.
Today, Berchtold is acting as an independent global financial services expert managing various mandates.
Murtadha Al Hashmi, Chairman of the Board, and Eduardo Leemann, CEO of Falcon Private Bank, jointly said: “The appointment of Walter Berchtold will ideally complement our Board of Directors and we are convinced that, thanks to his profound knowledge of the private banking industry and the financial markets, Walter will play a valuable role in the growth plans of the bank.
