Ferretti Custom Line’s new 108-foot yacht, which will make its debut next summer, will be sportier than its predecessor and “outstandingly stylish and state of the art.”
The Custom Line 108’ replaces the popular 100-foot model, of which 14 were sold in only three years, according to the Ferretti brand which specialises in fiberglass planing and semi-displacement maxi yachts between 28 and 38 m in length.
Ferretti teams were able to conceive an even sportier and outstandingly stylish yacht, characterised by large volumes, fully customisable interiors and state-of-the-art technology, it says.
Ferretti Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Stefano De Vivo says: "We have perfected a winning product, implementing on this new 108-footer extraordinary innovations such as the patented dual mode transom (DMT) system and the Votis infotainment system.
He continues: “Our choice has been endorsed by the market: two hulls have already been sold, bearing witness to the fact that difficulties can be overcome by betting on world-class quality.
The new maxi yacht is the outcome of the co-operation between Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYT&D) and Zuccon International Project.
It has larger volumes than its predecessor: the overall length has been increased to 32.95 m (108 ft, 1 in) and the beam is 7.25 m (23 ft, 9 in), resulting in over one sq m more on the main deck and the flybridge.
The aft area has been enlarged thanks to the DMT, which allows to open the aft door both upwards and downwards. In this way, a float-in garage fitting an over-5-m tender and a jet ski, a submersible transom, and a beach club reaching almost 15 sq m can be integrated into one single system.
This innovative solution is the result of the co-operation between AYT&D, Centro Stile and Besenzoni.
The Custom Line 108’ immediately strikes the eye for its slender, stylish profile.
On the main deck the superstructure and the glazed surfaces have been restyled, thereby highlighting even more the visual impact of the glazing at the height of the raised pilot house. The restyling has also involved the large glazing in the wide body master stateroom, which looks like the tip of an arrow, strengthening the sporty character of this yacht and offering a unique view, as well as ensuring unprecedented natural interior brightness.
The hull windows of the four VIP cabins have also been widened, have no fibreglass frame and are completed by a flush glued double porthole, an exclusive solution by Amare for Ferretti. The extension of the aft area has been combined with a restyled flybridge ‘tail’.
MAIN DECK
The overall extension of the main deck by 8 feet (2.5 m) has radically changed its layout. The cockpit is now dominated by a large sunbathing area, where the sofa can be converted into chaise longue and into a sunpad, allowing guests to enjoy beach life at the beach club. A central table seating eight completes the cockpit furniture.
The staircase leading to the flybridge is located starboard, while to port, access can be gained to the engine room.
The salon includes the living area followed by the dining area, as well as a cocktail corner near the entrance on the starboard side.
A full-height glazing, which can be replaced by a sliding glazed door, opens up onto the starboard walkway, at the level of the collapsible gunwale which, once lowered, turns into a terrace overlooking the sea with a table, seating ten.
The central part of the deck divides the day area from the master stateroom and the service areas. To port, access is gained to the galley by Ernestomeda and, from there, down to the crew area. The latter can also be reached from the outside and is fitted on starboard with a door leading to the lobby. From the latter the pilot house, upstairs, or the guest cabins, downstairs, can be reached.
Walking forward from the lobby after the day toilet is the master stateroom, which enjoys the utmost privacy. It has two huge windows that extend up to the head, located at the extreme bow. The cabin features a vanity area, beyond which is the double bed. Beside it are a small lounge to starboard and a desk to port, standing by which the owner can enjoy a magnificent view over the sea. The bathroom has been arranged into three separate areas. Left of the bed, a door leads into the walk-in wardrobe.
LOWER DECK
Below deck a large octagonal lobby allows onboard circulation between the four guest cabins - two double ones aft, and two twin ones forward. These en-suite cabins benefit from plenty of natural light thanks to the new glazing system.
The crew quarters are located at the extreme bow and are accessed via a dinette/galley. Opposite is the captain’s cabin, with en-suite head and separate shower. The four sailors have available two en-suite cabins with bunk beds.
The technical areas have been optimised too: not only is the engine room wider, but an area right of the tender basin stores a three-seat jet-ski, which can be launched into the floodable area using a lift.
FLYBRDIGE
The flybridge extends over 36 sq m and can be customised to the owner’s taste.
At the extreme bow, on the left-hand side, is the second pilot station, access to which can be gained through the sliding hatch located behind the raised pilot house; the co-pilot seat is on the right-hand side.
The outdoor dining area, sheltered by a slender hard-top that can be fitted with a sliding Bimini top, is furnished with a large C-shaped sofa and two tables. Opposite is a cocktail bar with a sink, a bottle-rack/refrigerator, an icemaker, and a glass top.
The remaining part of the flybridge offers a spacious relaxation area that can be fitted with freestanding furniture.
The main pilot house, equipped with cutting-edge instrumentation, is furnished with sofas and co-pilot seats as well as with additional compartments.
The forward outdoor areas allow to relax while enjoying maximum privacy, thanks to a double sunpad on the deckhouse and the dinette completed by two L-shaped sofas and two coffee tables that can be joined together.
DÉCOR AND INFOTAINMENT
The Custom Line 108’ embodies a new concept of luxury, in which Ferretti Custom Line’s Italian style goes hand in hand with very classy solutions.
Owners can thus not only experience the charm of 'putting together' the yacht of their dreams: beyond that, they will own a Made-in-Italy jewel that is truly unique thanks to the design solutions onboard.
The first 108’s will be characterised by a colour contrast that will enhance its style even more: dark oak wood will be combined with leather and nubuck furniture details and linings, while on the main deck all floors will be in a light-shade parquet. Marble will be the dominant material in all bathrooms, where it will be used for shower floors, washbasin tops, and many other details.
Special LED spotlights will be built-in in all ceiling panels. Moreover, all furniture in the main rooms will have backlit edges. Similarly, the large wall-mounted panel in the forward part of the main salon will be backlit and will continue in the ceiling panel above the dining table, further highlighting design choices and solutions.
The Custom Line 108’s Videoworks one touch infotainment system (Votis) in the main deck salon can be managed from an iPad. The system also makes it possible to use the digital libraries in the central server, surf the Internet, and share audio/video contents in the individual rooms in streaming.
The yacht’s two MTU 16V 2000 M94, 2638 mhp engines allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots, with a range of 350 and 430 nautical miles, respectively. Its range at a cruising speed of 12 knots can reach around 1,000 nautical miles.
