Well-heeled tourists can live like a Maharaja - or a President - at a new Taj hotel that’s just opened its doors in Dubai, UAE.
Located in the prestigious Burj Khalifa downtown area, the Taj Dubai has 296 rooms, comprising Taj Club rooms, 16 junior suites and 15 luxury suites with panoramic views of the world’s tallest tower, the dancing fountains and neighbouring Dubai Mall.
“We are delighted to enhance the nobility of Indian heritage and hospitality in one of the world’s most vibrant cities,” says Rakhee Lalvani, director - public relations, Taj Group. “With its distinctive design, responsibly appointed amenities and warm service culture, Taj Dubai aspires to become a preferred address for discerning guests."
The Taj Dubai houses two lavish suites.
The Maharaja Suite is inspired by opulent Maharaja’s palaces in Rajasthan and included a picturesque roof terrace of the 33rd floor of the hotel, while the Presidential Suite, with its fine balance of understated elegance and opulence, measures 680 sq m and occupies the entire 35th floor, with its own fitness suite and yoga room.
The hotel features its exclusive members-only Private Club for the first time outside of India. It entitles guests to an array of benefits such as private dining, bespoke conference and business facilities.
The hotel’s culinary offerings include Tesoro, which offers Peruvian cuisine for lunch and dinner and an international breakfast, the al fresco restaurant Kui’s; the Eloquent Elephant gastro-pub; the Byzantium Lounge, an Art-Deco all-day restaurant; and Bombay Brasserie, Taj’s renowned Indian restaurant is located on the fourth floor.
Meanwhile, the Jiva Spa offers an array of signature treatments, inspired by traditional Indian therapies for guests to unwind and rejuvenate.
“The Taj has been a pioneer in bringing legendary Indian hospitality to the world. At Taj Dubai, we will endeavor to continue this legacy in providing our guests with the highest levels of personalised, intuitive service and careful attention to detail. We look forward to welcoming you,” said Jason Harding, area director and general manager, Taj Dubai.
Established in 1901, India’s Taj group is a pioneer and market leader with 128 hotels, resorts and palaces spanning 64 locations in India and 15 international locations in four continents.
