Textron Aviation has opened a larger, state-of-the-art service centre at Paris-Le Bourget Airport in Paris, France.
The centre boasts complete maintenance and repair capability for Citation business jets and Beechcraft King Air turboprops.
“Our customers are excited about our new Paris facility, and with good reason. The facility is three times larger than the original and offers faster service, easier facility access, and first-class customer areas,” says Brad Thress, senior vice president, Customer Service. “With the combination of Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker under Textron Aviation, and with the increased business aviation activity in Paris, we wanted a larger and more robust centre there to match the other facilities across Europe. The feedback from customers has been very positive.”
More than 200 customers and guests attended the grand opening event on April 9 and toured the new 156,000-sq-ft facility, including the 42,000-sq-ft service bay, double the size of the service bay in the former Paris service centre.
Cessna opened its first service centre outside the US at Le Bourget in 1997, and it quickly became one of the top facilities in the network. The new centre is one of six company-owned Textron Aviation service centres in Europe.
The Paris facility also offers a mobile service solution allowing customers to receive service at their aircraft’s location. All six Textron Aviation European service centres hold European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification as a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).
Textron Aviation, through its Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker brands, is renowned for its unrivalled global service network dedicated to complete life-cycle support. Textron Aviation’s business jet and turboprop aircraft product support organization includes a world-wide network of authorized service centres and 21 company-owned facilities with thousands of expert service engineers offering maintenance, inspections, parts, repairs, avionic upgrades, equipment installations, refurbishments, and other specialised services.
Textron Aviation also offers Airespond, a mobile service programme featuring more than 40 mobile service units, multiple aircraft, and on-site service technicians and support.
