Major players in the business aviation industry have turned out in force at the 2015 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (Abace 2015) which gets under way in Shanghai, China, today. .
Billed as Asia's biggest business aviation event of the year, Abace 20156 is being held at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport fromand has proven to be a rapidly-growing, high-value premier business aviation event in Asia since its launch in 2012.
Abace is held partnership with Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA) and co-hosted by the US’s National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) and the Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC).
This year’s edition has more than 185 exhibitors – a nearly 20 per cent jump from the number that participated in the launch event – from around the world, including more than 40 per cent from the Asia-Pacific region, dozens of the latest and most modern aircraft on static display; a roster of noteworthy keynoters from government and industry; and numerous networking and educational opportunities
More than 8,000 attendees, including business aviation leaders, entrepreneurs, flight department personnel, aircraft-purchase decision makers and other high-level attendees from China and across Asia, are expected to visit the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre over the course of the three-day event.
Nearly 40 aircraft are on static display – a 41 per cent increase since 2012 – representing the full range of business aircraft, from pistons through intercontinental jets, as well as helicopters.
Major names at the static display include Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Boeing Business Jets, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Cirrus Aviation, Dassault Falcon, Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, Piaggio Aerospace, Pilatus Aircraft, Sino-US Helicopter Investment Company, Textron Aviation and VistaJet International.
