McLaren’s latest sports car is to be unveiled in Bahrain this Sunday, and a new sales manager will be tasked with promoting the new series in the kingdom.
The first car in the Sports Series range, the 570S will introduce the unique McLaren DNA and exclusivity to the sports car market for the first time with a carbon fibre chassis.
The Sports Series is described as McLaren’s most attainable and useable model range, and completes the UK luxury sports car maker’s three-tiered line up of high performance sports cars for the road.
The 570S will be unveiled at the GREAT British Embassy Advanced Engineering and Innovation Event, at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa on April 19.
Also on show will be the 675LT, the fastest, lightest, most powerful, most exclusive and exhilarating car in the Super Series range.
Meanwhile, to help promote the new Sports Series, McLaren Manama - represented by Al Ghassan Motors - has appointed Stina Lund as its new sales manager.
Lund is a highly experienced automotive professional and will be based at McLaren’s showroom at the Moda Mall in the World Trade Center in Manama.
Well known to luxury lifestyle buyers throughout Bahrain, Lund has already progressed through extensive training programmes at the company’s headquarters, McLaren Technology Centre, in the UK.
Ian Gorsuch, Regional Director MEAF of McLaren Automotive, says: “We are delighted to welcome Stina to the McLaren Manama team. With her background and proven track record, she will be instrumental to introducing the Sports Series to buyers in Bahrain. This is a pure sports car, with a driver optimised layout and electrifying performance that shares its DNA with the McLaren Super Series and Ultimate Series that sit above it in the range hierarchy. The Sports Series introduces McLaren race-derived technologies and design values to a new segment and audience.”
The 570S is described as the most exclusive option in its class and McLaren Manama opened ordering for the car in line with the unveiling at the New York Auto Show on April 1.
