The 2015 edition of the Singapore Yacht Show (SYS) gets under way today with close to 110 exhibitors in attendance and nearly 70 yachts on show.
Held over four days the award-winning One°15 Marina Club, this exclusive event epitomises luxury lifestyle, bringing together world-class yachts, glamorous parties, high-end entertaining, and an enviable range of prestige products and brands – supercars, fine dining, beautiful timepieces, hand-crafted jewellery and some of the region’s most luxurious waterside properties, providing visitors with the “ultimate luxury experience”
The impressive line-up of award-winning yachts, more debuts than ever before, and an increase in the number of industry-leading exhibitors, demonstrate the calibre of this year’s show and cement its position as the definitive event for those looking to do business in the Asia Pacific region.
The 2015 edition sees the debut of a number of prominent and high-profile superyacht builders. Amels, Benetti, Mondo Marine, Nobiskrug, Silver Yachts, Oceanco and Overmarine will all be in attendance for the first time at event, joining the long list of perennial supporters and show exhibitors.
An ever-present supporter of the show, Northrop & Johnson Asia is displaying an impressive line-up of six yachts this year, including 51.8-m Jade 959 and the largest sailing yachts of this year’s show: 28-m Sparkman & Stephens ketch Letizia and 34-m custom-built Ocean Runner.
Having premiered at last year’s edition, Fraser Yachts returns with two exciting yachts on display. They are showcasing 51-m Aldabra, co-presented by Edmiston & Company, the essence of the world-renowned ocean-going Codecasa full displacement series and the recently refitted Azul A, the ideal yacht for the Asian-based cruising enthusiast.
It’s not only these shipyards making their debuts at this year’s show. With more new yachts on display than ever before, the line-up looks set to attract the discerning clientele for which the SYS has become known. Highlights include the award-winning Oceanco Anastasia, which, at 75.5 m, is the largest yacht to ever be displayed at the show; and following highly successful debut last year, Yachtzoo returns with the debut of 69-m Saluzi, the largest charter yacht that is permanently based in Asia.
Princess Yachts SEA is also back to the show as its biggest exhibitor. Echoing its impressive line-up of 2014, with 12 yachts on display this year, Princess SEA is presenting the Princess S72 for the first time in Asia, and the Princess 68 for the first time in Singapore.
Simpson Marine, one of the region’s leading brokerage firms, is showcasing ten boats at this year’s edition. Simpson’s diverse fleet will include the debut of the 19.5-m Lagoon 630 catamaran, the elegant Azimut 80, and Beneteau’s Monte Carlo 5, which won European Powerboat of the Year in 2014 in the over-45 ft category.
Horacio Bozzo, who first exhibited in 2014, is another returning exhibitor, having recently signed a contract to design a 33-m yacht for a client that he met during last year’s Show. "It was the first time we exhibited and we were impressed with the high quality of the visitors. We are very pleased to confirm this new project,” explains Bozzo. “There are evidently serious buyers looking to talk with exhibitors about their services and products at the Singapore Yacht Show.”
With a distinct focus on the most glamorous sailing and motoryachts in the world, the Singapore Yacht Show is a first-class platform for luxury yachting brands keen to engage with ultra-wealthy individuals in a unique setting and a relaxed, fun atmosphere over four days.
The event runs until April 26.
