Dubai Watch Week, the global five-day event celebrating the art of horology kicked off yesterday (November 20) at Gate DIFC and will be running until November 24.
The biennial event, being held under the patronage of HH Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), focuses on education and intends to give watch enthusiasts access to industry experts, key figures and an extraordinary programme of events and exhibitions, whilst being immersed in the artistry and craftsmanship of exceptional timepieces.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “This is the fourth edition of Dubai Watch Week, the largest edition to date and we are extremely honoured to be hosting such a globally recognised event here in Dubai.”
“Bringing together the ever-growing watch industry, visitors can explore a programme of panel discussions, immersive experiences and creative techniques, set to inspire the horology community and a new generation of watch enthusiasts.
“With global manufacturers such as Rolex participating in the event for the first time ever, we hope to welcome more brands and exhibitors to Dubai for one of the most anticipated horological events of the year.”
Founded in 2015 by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Dubai Watch Week provides an intimate environment for collectors, brands, watchmakers and members of the media to interact and share knowledge.
