Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) and Lufthansa Technik have extended their co-operation in pre-defined VIP cabin completions by offering the Elite concept on the ACJ319.
The ACJ319 Elite was launched at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (Ebace), which is currently under way in Geneva, Switzerland.
It builds on the success of the ACJ318 Elite, which has had with 19 deliveries to date, and is based on market demand.
The Airbus ACJ319 Elite complements the modular ACJ319 concepts and fully customised cabins that are already available from Airbus Corporate Jets and Lufthansa Technik.
The baseline configuration of the ACJ319 Elite consists of a crew-rest/entourage area, a spacious executive lounge with full-flat club-seating and berthable divans, followed by a mid-cabin lavatory.
Behind this area the baseline concept features a private office that converts to a bedroom and a master bathroom, including a shower option.
"Due to the huge market recognition we have maintained the basic layout of the original ACJ318 Elite," says Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President - VIP and Executive Jet Solutions at Lufthansa Technik.
"However, in order to make full use of the additional floor space of the ACJ319, customers can choose to add the optional executive office as an additional private room. With the master bathroom, private bedroom and executive office separated from the main cabin area, VIP customers can enjoy the utmost privacy and a perfect working environment while in the air," Heerdt adds.
Besides the executive office and shower, the ACJ319 Elite features more than 20 additional layout and systems options for customers to choose from. Although pre-defined colour and material concepts are available, customers are free to select these finishing materials according to their individual preferences.
In order to experience the look and feel of their VIP interior in the most realistic way possible, customers can use the ACJ319 Elite App available for iPad. Numerous layout options and colour schemes can be selected and viewed in real-time, including ultra-realistic moving 3D-views of the interior.
The tool demonstrates the large variety of cabin configurations available and is being shown off at the Lufthansa Technik booth (T089, hall 6) and Airbus booth at Ebace.
With all these new exciting features and options in place, however, one thing has not changed: the ACJ319 Elite will continue to impress customers with full VIP cabin completion and value, plus an unrivalled rapidity, starting from just six months layover time, it says.
With more than 30 subsidiaries and about 26,000 employees worldwide, the Lufthansa Technik Group is one of the leading providers of services for the aviation industry. Lufthansa Technik is licensed internationally as a repair, production and development enterprise.
The group's portfolio encompasses the entire spectrum of services in the areas of maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and conversion, engines and components.
Airbus' ACJ320 family, comprising the ACJ318, ACJ319, ACJ320 and ACJ321, allow customers to take more cabin into the sky, while being similar in size externally to traditional business jets.
Airbus corporate jets feature, as standard, many innovations that other business jets lack or only offer as options, such as the simplicity and better handling of fly-by-wire controls, extensive use of weight-saving carbon-fibre, and time and cost-saving centralised maintenance.
This heritage, says Airbus, gives its corporate jets excellent reliability, because they are designed to fly many flights a day. Airbus corporate jet operators are also backed by a worldwide support network serving over 500 customers and operators, as well as tailored services.
Airbus has sold over 170 corporate jets to date, and these aircraft are flying on every continent.
Ebace is being held at the Geneva Palexpo centre and concludes tomorrow.
