ExecuJet Aviation Group is expanding its European managed and charter fleets with the addition of its first Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
Cavendish Trust, part of Abaris Fiduciary, signed a management contract with ExecuJet Aviation Group during the 2015 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (Ebace), which concluded today in Geneva, Switzerland.
The aircraft joins the company’s air operator certificate (AOC) in the UK and will be based between the Middle East and Europe.
John Brutnell, Group Aircraft Operations Director, ExecuJet Aviation Group, says: “We are very excited to offer the G550 to our customers in Europe. The addition of this state-of-the-art aircraft follows a high level of interest in our managed and charter services in the region. We anticipate the G550 to be highly sought-after due to its ultra-long range and large cabin.”
James Cunningham-Davis, Managing Director of Cavendish Trust, added: “We selected ExecuJet as a truly worldwide service provider with a quality reputation. Now, following ExecuJet joining Luxaviation, we are pleased to be working with one of the world’s largest business aviation operators.”
Powered by two Rolls-Royce BR710 engines, the G550 has a range of 6,750 nautical miles at speeds of up to Mach 0.885. The G550 cabin can be configured with three or four seating areas and can accommodate up to 18 passengers.
ExecuJet has added eight aircraft to its European fleet over the last 12 months.
The ExecuJet Aviation Group offers a diverse range of services including aircraft management for private and commercial registered aircraft, aircraft charter, aircraft maintenance, aircraft completions management and fixed base operations.
Headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, ExecuJet has operations in six regions – Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, embracing a workforce of over 1,000 staff.
The group manages 165 business jets worldwide under the most stringent safety standards. Its commercial fleet is operated under the regulatory umbrella of seven regional civil aviation issued air operating certificates (AOCs).
ExecuJet has many authorised maintenance facilities throughout four regions, certified to work on most business jets and 19 world-class FBO facilities worldwide.
