French actress Sophie Marceau was decked out in stunning Chopard jewellery at the red carpet awards and closing ceremony of the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival.
The star was seen wearing an 18-karat white gold ring set with rose-cut diamonds (5 carats) and brilliants (4 carats) as well as 18-karat white and yellow gold earrings set with fancy yellow pear-shaped diamonds (4 carats), pear-shaped diamonds (3 carats) and brilliants (3 carats), both from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie collection.
The film festival ran from June 13 to 21 in the Chinese city and the closing ceremony was held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
The Night Watchman, a Franco-Belgian film directed by Pierre Jolivet, won the Golden Goblet Award for best film at the festival, while the Jury Grand Prize went to Polish director Jacek Lusinski for Carte Blanche.
The jury was headed by Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev, whose most recent movie Leviathan won the best screenplay award at the 2014 Cannes Film festival and the Best Foreign Film at the 2015 Golden Globes.
The 2015 festival received a record 2,096 submissions from 108 countries, and screened 391 films in 45 theatres across Shanghai, reaching an audience of over 300,000 and earning nearly $2.9 million in the box office, according to the organisers.
