The Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) is for the first time to have a pavilion dedicated to business aviation at the Dubai Airshow in the UAE, exclusively for its members.
Held every two years, this year’s show will be held from November 8 to 12 at Dubai World Central (DWC), the world’s first ‘aerotropolis’ which includes Al Maktoum International Airport.
This announcement was made last week to MEBAA members and since received a lot of interest and positive feedback, the organisation reports.
The business aviation pavilion ensures exposure to companies who participate while offering a prime location, meeting rooms and so much more.
One of the special perks, says MEBAA, is the design of the pavilion. It offers two decks, the ground deck will hold the stands, meeting rooms, and main reception and the upper deck will have a lounge area, and serve breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks that include tea, coffee, water and snacks.
MEBAA says the pavilion not only is located in a prime area but also is cost effective.
Space availability is limited, and reservation will be based on first-come first-served basis.
MEBAA Founding Chairman Ali Al Naqbi says: “Dubai Airshow is one the most successful airshows in the world and I wanted to take this opportunity and have a stronger presence for business aviation and also offer something different to our members. This idea came to fruition after continuous collaboration with F&E Aerospace [the organizer].”
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). It is a non-profit association established in 2006 with the mission to provide a platform for members of the business aviation industry in the MENA region to gather, understand and communicate the needs and benefits of the industry.
As part of its growth strategy, MEBAA seeks to implement operational safety and efficiency by providing best in-practice training, lectures and conferences, establishing codes of conduct, and providing industry data.
Today, MEBAA represents over 240 companies within the Mena region and provides a number of products and services to its members, including the (MEBAA Aviation Insurance Scheme (MAIS) for operators. In addition to various networking events, MEBAA hosts the MEBAA Show, which ranks as the third largest business aviation show in the world, in Dubai, and MEBAA Show Morocco.
