Luxury fashion-branded residences at a skyscraper on London’s South Bank have been launched on the market.
Aykon Nine Elms is a 50-storey tower offering 360 residences whose interiors have been designed by Versace.
The lobby, amenities and interiors for each property will be expertly designed and fitted out by Versace Home.
The tower is being developed by Dico UK Property Holdings, which is owned by UAE-based real estate giant Damac.
Amenities will include a state of the art gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and spa, an owners lounge, children’s play area, roof garden and cinema, all designed by Versace Home.
Aykon Nine Elms is located at the heart of the UK capital’s Nine Elms regeneration area adjacent to Battersea, overlooking the River Thames.
The tower is due for completion in 2020. It will be the first private residence project of scale in London to be fully designed and conceptualised by a luxury fashion house, with Versace involved in all aspects of interior design, according to the developers.
The tower combines a mix of premium penthouses, three-, two-, one-bedroom and Manhattan Studio units with City and River views along the Thames to the Palace of Westminster and the London Eye.
Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace, says: “Versace is synonymous with fashion and luxury and its participation in the real estate business provides the opportunity to fully experience the Versace lifestyle. In recent years, the private residential projects have become a strategic part of the Versace world. Today, thanks to the collaboration with Dico UK Property Holdings and Damacc - a developer who we have worked with for many years and who shares our vision for the highest standards - we bring the ultimate expression of Versace’s lifestyle to the very heart of London".
London continues to be one of the most sustainable real estate markets in the world, with solid year-on-year price growth of around 6 per cent according to real estate advisory firm JLL. Analysts expect house price inflation in the region of 5-7 per cent in the coming years.
“There is a huge appetite from our current global customer base for luxury property investments in London,” says Damac Chairman Hussain Sajwani. “Aykon Nine Elms presents an unrivalled opportunity for them to access the stable and established London market. Akkon Nine Elms, with Versace-branded living, is a truly unique concept and a fantastic addition to the residential market in this amazing cultural and vibrant city’’.
“It also presents prospective buyers with an unrivalled opportunity to own a luxurious central London home, in close proximity to the luxury shopping destinations of Knightsbridge and Mayfair, Chelsea and the planned Linear Park,” he adds.
A host of internationally recognised companies are working on the project including one of the world’s pre-eminent architecture firms, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), Turner & Townsend (TT) and consultants including JLL and WSP.
Founded in 1978, Gianni Versace is one of the leading global fashion design houses. Under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace since 1997, Versace designs, manufactures, distributes and retails fashion and lifestyle products including haute couture, woman and man ready-to-wear, jewellery, watches, accessories, fragrances and furniture.
Damac is one of the largest luxury real estate developers in the Middle East, with portfolio of projects across the region. Having initially specialised in high-rise, luxury private apartment projects in the most sought-after locations in Dubai, the company is now developing major master plan developments, golf course communities, hotels and hotel apartments across the region.
Damac works with some of the most recognisable names in the world of fashion and design, including developing a limited edition real estate collection with such companies including Versace, Fendi, The Trump Organisation, Paramount Hotels & Resorts and Tiger Woods Design.
