DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF) has expanded its aircraft management fleet with the addition of a Challenger 604 aircraft. The aircraft which DCAF will operate on behalf of the client will be based at its facility at Dubai World Central (DWC) in Dubai, UAE.
The management contract will see DCAF provide a comprehensive service package including aircraft maintenance.
Holger Ostheimer, General Manager, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, says: “We are excited with the addition of the Challenger 604 to our managed fleet. The addition of this state-of-the-art aircraft follows growing interest from clients seeking our expertise to manage their aircraft both commercially as well as under private operation. This management contract is also further evidence of our expertise and capability to deliver the highest possible quality standards for safety and service to our VIP clients.”
At its headquarters in DWC, the DCAF facility offers exclusive lounge area that caters to the discerning needs of VVIP customers offering the highest levels of comfort, luxury and privacy exemplified through shower areas, a conference room, covered parking and an exclusive contemporary finish. Customers benefit from a dedicated ramp parking area spanning over 7,700 sq m, on-site security processing facilities, the shortest distance between limousine drop-off and the aircraft steps and flexibility by having no operational restrictions therefore flying when needed.
The DCAF hangar has enough space to accommodate four ACJ (Airbus Corporate Jet) or BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) type aircraft of the heavy business jet category as well as two ultra-long range business jets such as the Falcon 7X, Bombardier Global Express or Gulfstream G550.
DCAF is a joint venture between Dubai-headquartered Al-Futtaim and Germany’s DC Aviation, one of the leading European business jet operators.
The JV capitalises on Al-Futtaim's strong fundamentals and presence in the Middle East, and DC Aviation’s global reputation as a premium provider of aircraft management, executive charter operations, business jet maintenance and consultation services.
DCAF is the first operation to open a hangar and lounge facility within DWC.
