Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille has launched two new limited editions in honour of its collaboration with the Polo Club Saint-Tropez in Gassin, France.
The Ladies RM 07-01 Polo Club Saint-Tropez and the RM 029 Polo Club Saint-Tropez are now available at Richard Mille boutiques in Europe and the Middle East and also the Richard Mille pop-up at the club as well.
The new timepieces follow the RM 011 Polo Club Saint-Tropez and the RM 030 Polo Club Saint-Tropez, and come as the partnership between the club and the watchmaker marks its third year.
The first ladies timepiece in the Saint Tropez collection is a limited edition of the RM 07-01 White ceramic. The limited edition of 30 pieces has a white ceramic case, white crown rubber with lapis lazuli dial and matching blue rehaut, the colours echo the colours of the French Riviera.
At the heart of the RM 07-01 is the in-house designed calibre CRMA2, a highly skeletonised automatic movement that provides the perfect synergy between performance and capability giving the RM 07-01 a power reserve of around 50 hours, said to be a significant achievement for a ladies timepiece.
Meanwhile, the RM 029 Polo Club Saint-Tropez is a limited edition of 50 pieces and embodies a black ceramic front and back case with a caseband of the lightweight material NTPT (North Thin Ply Technology) carbon. The upper and lower rehaut will be white and blue to reflect the colours of the polo club and will feature the club logo on the back glass.
The RM 029 is a perfect size (48mm x 39.70mm x 12.60mm) and with the classic tonneau shape and curved case will fit on any wrist. The automatic calibre RMAS7 with oversized date mechanism and variable rotor geometry make the RM 029 the perfect companion for the day at the polo.
“We are proud to be the official timekeeper of the Polo Club Saint-Tropez and excited to release these two new editions into the Richard Mille collection,” says Peter Harrison, CEO Richard Mille Europe, Middle East and Africa. “The Polo Club and Richard Mille have the same luxury principles and the watches represent cutting edge design, technical brilliance and dedication for the best in their respective fields.”
The Polo Club Saint-Tropez has undergone major renovation over the winter and is introducing the beautiful new facilities to the many jet-set and sports personalities this summer.
The exceptional surroundings of greenery, forest and blue skies will be the backdrop to the sustainable infrastructure which includes two new Tifton polo fields, new indoor training facilities, 258 new stables and new luxury groom and team accommodation.
The club is midway through its ‘Six Days of Sunday Polo’ season with three remaining events scheduled for August 16, August 30 and September 13.
The first high goal polo tournament at the club will be titled The Richard Mille Cup and held on August 16.
