Jet Aviation Basel recently received maintenance approvals for Dassault Falcon aircraft from the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ANAC) in Gabon, and the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DCA) in Namibia.
With these approvals, Jet Aviation Basel is authorised to provide line and base maintenance to Dassault Falcon 10, 50 and 900 aircraft registered in Gabon and to Dassault Falcon 7X series and Falcon 900 series aircraft registered in Namibia.
“These approvals improve our ability to meet rising demand for high quality maintenance in Africa,” says Johannes Turzer, vice president and general manager of the Maintenance Center at Jet Aviation Basel. “We are also aware of high expectations for refurbishment support in this region and will continue to expand our services to offer the benefit of our professional expertise where it is needed.”
For aircraft owners and operators in Africa, Jet Aviation Basel also holds maintenance approvals for Boeing Business Jets (BBJs) registered in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Nigeria, Morocco and South Africa.
Jet Aviation Basel is a world-renowned completions and maintenance centre employing more than 1,600 professionals. The facility has in-house design and engineering departments, along with on-site cabinetry, upholstery, sheet metal, composite and paint shops. The organisation is capable of outfitting jets as large as an Airbus A380 or the Boeing 747-8 series and has already completed numerous Airbus ACJ319, ACJ320, ACJ330, ACJ340 and Boeing B737, B757, B767 and B747 aircraft. Jet Aviation Basel also provides aircraft maintenance and repair services for a wide variety of business jets. It is a factory approved service centre by Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer and Gulfstream. The location also holds a jet aircraft repair station rating by the FAA #QV1Y440K, and the EASA #CH.145.0232 in addition to approval certificates of 21 other national aviation authorities.
