Van Cleef & Arpels has unveiled a new limited edition Vintage Alhambra pendant.
This year’s creation features a harmonious blend of pink gold, grey mother of pearl and diamond.
Ever since 1968, the Alhambra collection has taken on a variety of elegant guises, with a rich palette of materials. This year, the French luxury jewellery and watches firm is bringing a touch of luck this fall with this new, luminous and refined limited edition.
First appeared in the Alhambra collection in 2001, the grey mother-of-pearl now lends its enchanting color and shimmering glow to this vintage Alhambra pendant.
Organically produced from sea shells, mother-of-pearl is remarkable for its iridescent shades and ever-changing colors. With its pearly sheen it evokes femininity, gentleness and protection.
The grey mother-of-pearl meets the very highest standards of quality. Mainly originating from Indonesia and Japan, it is distinguished by its uniform shades, smooth surface and the highest quality sheen. For this piece, it has been associated with pink gold and a diamond at the jewel’s centre, which elegantly illuminate the neckline.
To emphasise the exclusive nature of this limited edition, the back of each pendant can be personalised with an engraving. The timeless Alhambra motif thus becomes the reflection of a personal story or a precious moment.
Inscribed with a name, a date or a message, the jewel becomes unique for all eternity, according to the company.
The first Alhambra long necklace was born in 1968, coupling yellow gold with the pure lines of the Alhambra motif. A symbol of harmony edged with golden pearls, it was an immediate success, establishing itself as a token of luck and emblem of Van Cleef & Arpels.
In keeping with this tradition of excellence, the Alhambra collection embodies all the expertise of the craft of High Jewelry. The varied skills of lapidaries, jewelers, stone-setters and polishers have come together to create an iconic jewel that will stand the test of time, the company says.
