A new Ferretti yacht has hit the waters and is poised for its global debut in the Côte d’Azur next month.
The launch of Ferretti’s first Custom Line 108’ at its yard in La Spezia, Italy, last month marked the culmination of production of the first hull of the new maxi yacht.
Construction of three more hulls of this model is currently under way.
“The creation of the first Custom Line 108’ has spread great enthusiasm across the shipyard, which has worked very hard over the last few months to successfully launch of this new maxi yacht,” says Ferretti Group Chief Commercial Officer Stefano de Vivo. “We are looking forward to presenting the new yacht, together with other Custom Line and Ferretti Group new craft, next September at a première in Monaco then during the Cannes Yachting Festival.”
Following fit-out operations, hull performance trials and checks of on-board equipment and systems - which include the Dual Mode Transom that controls the movement of the transom and the innovative Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System (Votis) software - the yacht will be delivered to its owner from continental Europe before it cruises across the Mediterranean Sea.
The yacht will then reach the Côte d'Azur for a worldwide première that Ferretti will organise in the Principality of Monaco just a few days before its international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, to be held from September 8 to 13 in France.
The Custom Line 108’ reaches the heights of excellence in yachting thanks to a combination of distinctive features: a sporty spirit, a refined design, spacious volumes, cutting-edge technological solutions and extremely refined interiors, tailor-made to the owner’s tastes and requirements.
Characterised by stylish finishes and original contrasts and further highlighted by exclusive furniture and the greatest attention to detail, Ferretti says the Custom Line 108’ embodies a “new concept of luxury, with a truly noble touch”.
Ferretti says its architects and designers have developed solutions that make life on board this maxi yacht an “unforgettable experience” through the use of soft leathers, fine woods and precious materials like marble while its all-LED lighting system - which is a structural and architectural design element - has resulted in increased comfort.
Its owners can not only experience the joy having ‘created’ the yacht of their dreams but they will also own a made-in-Italy jewel that is truly unique thanks to the solutions implemented on board, it adds.
The new yacht comes with two MTU 16V 2000 M94, 2638 Mhp engines, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots, ensuring a range of 350 and 430 nautical miles (nm), respectively.
The yacht will also stand out for its fuel efficiency: its range at the economic cruising speed of 12 knots will reach as much as 1,000 nm.
Last but not least, to ensure unmatched comfort even when at anchor, the Custom Line 108’ will be equipped with electro-hydraulic stabilising fins with underway and zero-speed functions.
