The Al Faisaliah Spa by ESPA, an exclusive spa for ladies in the Saudi capital Riyadh, won three awards at the inaugural World Spa Awards held in Vietnam yesterday.
The ladies-only luxury spa and the crown jewel of Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh was awarded the ‘World’s Best Female Spa’, ‘World’s Best Spa Design’ and ‘Saudi Arabia’s Best Hotel Spa’ at the ceremony held in Danang.
Al Faisaliah Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World is owned and operated by Al Khozama Management Company, Saudi Arabia’s leading hospitality and property management firm.
The prestigious event saw industry leaders from across the world celebrate and reward spa industry excellence through this first of its kind event. Voting was cast by professionals working within the spa industry as well as influential individuals and luxury industry insiders in what will provide a new international benchmark for the global spa and wellness industry.
Al Faisaliah Spa by ESPA highlights glamour and elegance and brings to life the vision of a unique, exclusive luxurious ladies only retreat within the heart of the city.
Meticulously designed by Her Highness Princess Al Anoud bint Khaled bin Abdullah Al Saud, the spa is adorned with lavish materials, glittering Swarovski crystals and cascading waterfalls.
Spanning across four floors, the spa features six treatment rooms, two private spa suites, relaxation rooms, whirlpool, nail studio, hair salon and a fitness zone with the latest Technogym equipment. In addition, the spa includes a 14-m long swimming pool, a traditional hammam, and a tea lounge for guests.
The spa’s signature treatments teamed with unique design elements reflect the local culture and heritage of Arabian hospitality, providing the perfect ground for relaxation.
Alexander Blair, General Manager at Al Faisaliah Hotel, says: “We are incredibly proud and delighted that we continue to build on our recent national and regional awards. It is the ultimate reward to be recognised on a global level with three awards at the World Spa Awards. We owe a great deal to the vision and creativity of Her Highness Princess Al Anoud bint Khaled bin Abdullah Al Saud and we congratulate her on the award of the world’s best spa design.
“We must also give thanks to the founder and CEO of ESPA International, Susan Harmsworth, MBE, who was one of the driving forces behind the concept for the spa to redefine luxury and deliver a world class, multiple award-winning spa service. These awards are a testament to our hard working team of consummate professionals who ensure that Al Faisaliah Spa by ESPA offers the ultimate spa experience.”
