A bejewelled guitar worth $2 million will make its Middle East debut at the upcoming Jewellery Arabia in Bahrain, as part of a global tour.
The Coronet Gibson guitar has an estimated value of $2 million and will be unveiled on November 24, 2015 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Billed as the world’s most valuable guitar, the musical instrument is adorned with 11,441 diamonds (401.15 carats) set in 1.6 kg of 18-karat white gold.
It took a team of 68 artisans up to 700 man-days to complete the showpiece.
Brought together by legendary guitar maker Gibson Brands, Hong Kong-based founder of the Coronet brand Aaron Shum Jewelry, and musician and artist Mark Lui, the diamond encrusted masterpiece is named “Eden of Coronet” and is the most valuable guitar ever as certified by Guinness World Records in March 2015.
The guitar’s unveiling at Jewellery Arabia follows appearances in Hong Kong, Switzerland and the US.
