Breitling, a specialist of technical watches, will be the official timing partner of this year’s Dubai Airshow.
This is the first time that the Swiss luxury watch brand has partnered with the Dubai aviation trade event, which is one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world. It will take place from November 8 to 12 at the Dubai Airshow Site, DWC.
For Breitling, a pioneer of aviation feats, the partnership with the Dubai Airshow is a natural collaboration, says Aed Adwan from Breitling Middle East.
“One of the world's only major watch brands to equip all its models with chronometer-certified movements, the show capitalises on Breitling’s dedication to precision,” Adwan says.
“The world of aviation requires the highest levels of precision and technical accuracy and Breitling specialises in both. This makes our partnership with the Dubai Airshow an obvious fit and we look forward to being part of one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world,” continues Adwan.
Michele van Akelijen, managing director of Dubai Airshow organisers F&E Aerospace, says: “Dubai has played a key role in the development of the aerospace industry in the Middle East and the Dubai Airshow has helped lead this change by creating a world class exhibition showcasing the latest and greatest in military, general and commercial aviation.
“As a specialist in instruments for aviation professionals, Breitling is the perfect time keeping partner for this year’s show which we are expecting to be our biggest yet, with over 1,100 exhibitors and 65,000 trade visitors.”
