Minute repeater takes centre stage

A Lange & Söhne is present at the 2016 Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition which is currently under way, showcasing its craftsmanship and ingenuity in precision watchmaking.

Visitors are being offered an insight into to the company’s mechanical inventions during the exhibition while viewing the selected timepieces showcased at the booth such as the new edition of the Lange 1, the prime face of A Lange & Söhne since 1994, the new versions of the Datograph Up/Down and the Datograph Perpetual as well as three models of the SAXONIA family with newly designed dials and other several prominent timepieces.

Reaffirming its position at the pinnacle of fine watchmaking the Saxon watch manufactory is also highlighting the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater – its first model with a striking mechanism that sounds the hours, ten-minute intervals, and minutes confirms A Lange & Söhne’s devoted philosophy to “Never stand still”.

This timepiece is articulately designed and it combines a mechanical jumping numerals display with a decimal minute repeater for the first time, and therefore is a technical sensation in the exalted category of chiming wristwatches.

“We are pleased to participate in the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition in collaboration with partner Al Majed,” says Ramzi Nael, Brand Director Middle East, Africa & India at A Lange & Söhne. “This exhibition embodies an important regional platform for the industry in the Middle East and offers the increasing number of watchmaking lovers, enthusiasts and collectors from all over the region an opportunity to experience A Lange & Söhne’s constant quest for perfection.”

The DWJE is being held at the new Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in West Bay. The event runs until February 27 from noon to 10 pm.
