Mohammed Hussein Al Shaali, the Chairman of the UAE yacht builder Gulf Craft, was bestowed with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show.
The award was presented as part of The World of Yachts and Boats Awards, held on the sidelines of the show, which concluded yesterday.
Local and international marine organisations and government agencies were also recognised for their excellence in service to the leisure marine industry at the evening ceremony, which took place at the Westin Mina Seyahi.
Dubai Water Canal, Government of Dubai and the RTA won the Best Seafront Development Award, while the Dubai Coast Guard picked up the Safety at Sea Award. Emirates Boats took home the Best Local Boat Builder (small and medium), while Gulf Craft won Best Local Boat Builder in the large category.
Exalto Emirates won Best Distributor for Marine Accessories in the Middle East; the Best Sustainability in Yachting was awarded to Feadship M/Y Savannah; and Feadship also picked up the Best Marketing Campaign by a Brand for ‘This is Uniquity – Ballerina’.
Best Yachting Personality representing the Middle East went to Nabil El Jammal from Benetti Yachts and the World of Yachts Readers’ Choice Award 2017 was Amels’s Elixir.
