The first St Regis property in Dubai, UAE, will open its doors this year, its developer has said.
St Regis is the ultra-luxury brand from Starwood Hotels and the upcoming property, which is the first St Regis in the city, will be located in the Al Habtoor City development.
The hotel is inspired by Beaux-Arts architecture from New York’s ‘gilded age’ and includes a grand staircase in the lobby, captivating murals, classic motifs, and sparkling chandeliers.
Its gardens include water features, a fountain and a helipad.
Al Habtoor Group Chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said: “I am very proud to bring the St Regis brand to Al Habtoor City. It epitomises timeless elegances while incorporating regional inspiration to differentiate itself from other hotels. As soon as you enter the gardens you feel like you have stepped into another world from a bygone era. The architecture of the façade is dominated by Roman-style columns, like the ones you would see at the Colosseum.”
The St Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor will feature a total of 233 world-class accommodations, comprised of 182 guest rooms and 51 signature suites, including a designer suite and a signature Royal suite.
The hotel will offer the brand’s hallmark luxury service to the new destination, including its renowned St Regis Butler Service as well as an indulgent spa. In addition, it will boast high-end restaurants offering sumptuous cuisine.
The hotel is situated in the new heart of Dubai; close to Business Bay and Downtown Dubai, and a 20 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.
The St Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor City will share the same plot as two other Starwood brands, the W Dubai, and the Westin Dubai alongside the Dubai Water Canal and three luxury residential towers. It will also be home to the region’s first permanent Franco Dragone Entertainment Group theatrical production.
Al Habtoor said: “The Al Habtoor City development is my pride and joy. It offers something very unique to the city that cannot be found anywhere else.”
The St Regis website has listed the hotel’s opening date as October 1.
