Royal Jet of the UAE has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Technik for the completion of two 737-700 Boeing Business Jets (BBJs).
The news was revealed at the 2015 Dubai Airshow which is currently under way in Dubai, UAE.
The two projects will be completed at Lufthansa Technik's VIP & Executive Jet Solutions site in Hamburg.
The aircraft will be redelivered in Q3 and Q4 2016.
The cabin interior was done by the New York based designer Edése Doret, who is known for its elegant yet innovative designs.
Both cabins will be very modern with a spectacular interior design. The VIP interior compromises a private master bedroom together with a fully equipped master bathroom as well as a large lounge area, business and economy class areas.
Both aircraft will be equipped with the latest telecommunication and entertainment technology to meet the needs of the exclusive customer base of Royal Jet. Each aircraft will comfortably accommodate 34 guests.
"Royal Jet is the benchmark for private charter companies in the region. It is our aim to be the benchmark for global operators offering VIP chartered services," says Captain Patrick Gordon, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Jet.
"The company's continued growth and success is testimony to the vision and leadership of our chairman HE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Board of Directors, shareholders and over 400 of Royal Jet staff who deliver service and operational excellence every day.
Our partnership with Lufthansa Technik reinforces Royal Jet's consistent offering of award-winning service excellence," adds Captain Gordon.
Lufthansa Technik´s Senior Vice President VIP & Executive Jet Solutions Walter Heerdt, explains: "We are very proud that we have been selected by Royal Jet and also given the chance to materialize the spectacular design of Edése Doret."
Royal Jet currently operates six BBJs and therefore already considered as the world's largest independent BBJ operator. After completion, the Abu Dhabi-based charter operator will add those two aircraft to the existing fleet and Royal Jets customers will soon be able to experience this very exclusive product.
The Middle East’s foremost private charter company, Royal Jet is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi Aviation, a publicly listed company on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and Presidential Flight, the royal flight service. Royal Jet is chaired by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who also serves as Minister in the UAE Federal Cabinet. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Royal Jet operates from its fixed base operations (FBO)/VIP terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The airline has successfully been operating a second FBO at Seychelles International Airport in partnership with Air Seychelles since October 2013.
Royal Jet is the world's largest single BBJ operator. The private charter company is a founder member of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) and a member of the NBAA, MedLink (a service of MedAir) and the Flight Safety Foundation.
Royal Jet is also the World Travel Awards 2015 'Middle East's Leading Private Jet Charter' and the 2014 'World's Leading Private Jet Charter'.
