Celebrated Italian brand Cipriani has opened its first restaurant in Dubai. Located at the prestigious Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Cipriani has been brought to Dubai by the Bulldozer Group and is the brand’s second site in the Middle East, following the success of the Yas Island restaurant in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
Covering 1,100 sq ft, the venue has a capacity of 296 guests with an option to dine indoors or on the chic outdoor terrace.
Decorated in Cipriani’s iconic nautical colours, the maritime interior features large linen curtains and brown leather chairs whilst three contemporary black and white portraits adorn the main wall.
Designed by Florentine architect Michele Bonan, Cipriani comprises of two split-levels, with an intimate bar on the lower floor and the restaurant area on the upper deck.
Diners will discover a menu featuring an array of Harry’s Bar classics, including baked tagliolini, calf's liver “alla Veneziana”, “seppioline in tecia”, carpaccio, and the decadent torta di cioccolato.
“It is with immense pleasure that we open the doors to our newest Cipriani, located in Dubai's vibrant DIFC. This is an incredibly exciting time for the brand and I cannot wait to share the Venetian traditions that are at the heart of the Cipriani philosophy with this dynamic and world-leading city. We very much look forward to serving our Dubai guests and furthering our presence in the UAE," explains Giuseppe Cipriani, the son of the founder of the brand.
Next month, Cipriani Dubai will launch a separate lounge area called Socialista. This private space at the rear of the restaurant will offer a laid-back, upbeat vibe, allowing guests to continue the Cipriani experience deep into the night.
The story of the Italian restaurant dates back to 1931 when Giuseppe Cipriani first founded the legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy. Today, Cipriani has venues all over the globe, including New York, Monte Carlo, Hong Kong, Mexico City and now Dubai.
