Spring/Summer 2022
This Father’s Day, OMEGA is appealing to the creative spirit of dads across the world.
Often found fixing toys or helping to draw, they are the heroes who deserve something stylish of their own, says OMEGA.
Three of the brand’s best-looking men’s designs have been chosen as gifts. “We can’t promise they’ll be wrapped beautifully by your kids, but the quality and coolness of the watches is guaranteed,” it says.
Leading the range this Father’s Day is a classical OMEGA Globemaster. The 39 mm watch takes its inspiration from OMEGA’s earliest Constellation models, with distinguishing features such as the fluted bezel in 18K Sedna Gold, and the pie-pan dial in sun-brushed blue. Presented on a blue leather strap with a Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre inside, this is a timepiece for the best-dressed dads.
Taking the choices up a gear, the OMEGA Speedmaster ’57 is its top vintage pick. As the name suggests, this 40.5 mm Master Chronometer watch is inspired by the original Speedmaster model from 1957, which was designed especially for motor-racing drivers. The latest design this year has a slimmer look and a clever “sandwich” dial, which accentuates the vintage Super-LumiNova beneath the recessed hour markers.
Now for a deeper dive into the OMEGA collections, the Seamaster Planet Ocean makes an ideal gift for any adventurous dad. The bold timepiece is set at 43.5 mm, with a stainless steel case and bracelet, and black ceramic used for the dial and diving bezel. This watch can go to a depth of 600 m and features a helium escape valve for serious expeditions. Of course, it works equally well when reading bedtime stories.
This year’s Father’s Day models are accompanied by several pieces from the OMEGA Accessories collection, including stainless steel cufflinks with dark blue mother-of-pearl painted plates; and a selection of sailing bracelets in a variety of materials.
