Infiniti’s regional boss will deliver his views on the state of the luxury market in the Middle East at a conference in Dubai, UAE.
Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director, Infiniti, Middle East, will be a key speaker at the Arab Luxury World conference, which takes place on June 1 and 2 at The Westin Mina Seyahi.
For the third year in a row, Infiniti will be the sole automotive partner for the conference organised by Mediaquest,
Schmitz will discuss his views during the opening panel on ‘The New Normal’ which seeks to identify how the luxury landscape in the region is changing.
“The Middle East is a very important market for Infiniti and, as a premium brand, we are delighted to be the sole automotive partner of the Arab Luxury World conference,” said Schmitz. “We have seen the conference enjoy progressive year on year growth – both in terms of numbers as well as the topical issues that are discussed by industry peers. We at Infiniti believe that the insights, trends and studies that are shared and discussed on the platform – serves as a valuable aid for operators like ourselves in the premium world – to successfully take the right business decisions with the region in context.”
Mediaquest Co-CEO, Julien Hawari said: “Despite the economic headwinds, the region is moving in the right direction, with governments taking various steps, such as diversification and moving away from oil revenues. To sail smoothly in this challenging environment, businesses and industry stakeholders need the right information, knowledge and data to make sense of the new realities and risks. For 2016’s Arab Luxury World, we decided to have an overarching theme of ‘The New Normal’, which will be covered in more than 30 sessions spread over two days.”
“The two-day conference will witness an assembly of businesspeople, international experts, retailers, designers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, industry experts and high-net-worth individuals – basically anybody who is somebody in the business of luxury – to discuss different topics, such as digital strategy, the rise of community malls, taxes and their consequences, e-commerce, the spending and needs of HNWIs, and price arbitration, among others,” Hawari said.
“Household names in the luxury sector from the Middle East and the rest of the world will come together to discuss the challenges, opportunities and the potential of premium and luxury goods and services markets. Infiniti is a great brand to have in partnership with us, as it has innovation, luxury and overachievement at its heart,” he concluded.
Infiniti Motor Company is headquartered in Hong Kong with sales operations in over 50 countries. Its range of premium automobiles is currently built in manufacturing facilities in Japan, the US, UK and China. Infiniti plans to also expand manufacturing into Mexico by 2017.
