A. Lange & Söhne’s two new models of the Saxonia Automatic come with terra-brown dials. They are the first members of the Saxonia family to feature this elegant hue. The pink-gold and white-gold versions were launched to celebrate the reopening of the Lange boutique in Ginza, Tokyo.
The tastefully renovated boutique in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district was reopened on June 30. To mark the occasion, A. Lange & Söhne endowed the two models with terra-brown solid-silver dials.
Both elegant self-winding models have 38.5-mm cases. Colour-co-ordinated, hand- stitched alligator leather straps in red brown and dark brown emphasise the graceful overall personality of these watches. The solid-gold hands and hour markers match the case colours and underscore their prominent design.
The Lange L086.1 self-winding calibre, merely 3.7 mm high, beats inside these models. It has a maximum power reserve of 72 hours and features brand-typical quality hallmarks such as the balance cock with free-hand decorative engraving. A central rotor suspended in ball bearings and a platinum centrifugal mass are among the assets of the manufactory-made movement. As all other Lange models, the Saxonia Automatic is assembled a second time, after the individual calibre components have been lavishly decorated and polished by hand.
