Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has opened a new boutique in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, UAE.
The premium shopping space is devoted to IWC’s fine watches. Luxurious flooring and an alluring entrance draw visitors into the world of IWC, while clean lines and warm colours highlight the brand’s six different product families.
“The opening is in line with our expansion plans for the Middle East and has only been possible thanks to the strong alliance with our retail partner in Dubai, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. It is the first boutique in the region to showcase our new international boutique concept and offers watch connoisseurs a luxurious shopping experience,” explains Luc Rochereau, Regional Brand Director of IWC Schaffhausen.
Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, COO of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, adds: “We are honoured to be a retail partner of IWC Schaffhausen. The brand carries cutting-edge designs, yet never lets go of its rich heritage. We will provide connoisseurs of IWC watches with a striking collection in a quiet and elegant setting.”
LUXURIOUS TIMEPIECES
A special emphasis is placed on IWC’s Pilot’s Watch, a popular product line.
Visitors can discover the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition Antoine de Saint Exupéry (Ref. IW503801), which is IWC’s latest homage to the French author and aviation pioneer.
The complicated timepiece features a tobacco brown dial and a calfskin strap reminiscent of Saint-Exupéry’s flying suit. The perpetual calendar displays the day, date, month and year without the need for any manual adjustments until the year 2100.
The timepiece is powered by the IWC-manufactured 52610 calibre and limited to 750 pieces.
Another highlight on display at the new boutique is the Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW502701), which marks IWC’s first integration of the annual calendar complication into a Pilot’s Watch.
The solid gold rotor of the Pellaton automatic winding system revolves eccentrically around its axis and shows the little prince – the main character of Saint-Exupéry’s famous novel – standing on his asteroid and gazing at the stars.
The 18-carat red gold watch is powered by the IWC manufactured 52850 calibre and limited to just 250 pieces.
To commemorate the launch of the new boutique, , a special Pilot’s Watch exhibition is being held till October 22, introducing watch lovers to the world of IWC’s Pilot’s Watches.
With a clear focus on technology and development, the Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has been producing timepieces of lasting value since 1868.
