Roman jeweller Bulgari has introduced its new B.zero1 Design Legend rings designed by the late architectural great Zaha Hadid.
Combining Hadid’s architectural genius and Bulgari’s jewellery-making prowess, B.zero1 Design Legend rings honour the vision of the two design legends. Sculpted into undulating gold waves, their design juxtaposes Roman tradition and Italian modernity.
The new ring and pendant recall the grandeur of Rome’s Colosseum in their design: Hadid reinterpreted the original B.zero1 into a fusion of golds and bold design.
Unveiled in 1999, B.zero1 is inspired by the world’s most renowned amphitheater, the Colosseum. Now, the new ring is a fusion of style trademarks combining Bulgari’s bold and geometric design with Hadid’s fluid and curvaceous creations.
With the original design of the ring in mind, Hadid deconstructed the iconic central looping band. Clasped by two flat rings which are engraved with the classic Bvlgari logo, the central body of the ring takes the shape of undulating gold waves flowing freely in a dynamic movement. The ring’s infinite curvilinear structure exemplifies fluidity and feeling of movement with a design that makes a rigid material looking effortlessly organic and alive!
The new Design Legend ring is the sublime synthesis of the classic, the revolutionary and the timeless.
The new disruptive design takes form in four new creations: a four-band ring in pink gold, a three-band version in white or pink gold and a pendant in pink gold.
