TAG Aviation recently received approval for extended-range twin engine operations (ETOPS) from the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for its Airbus ACJ A319.
The distinctive Airbus (G-OACJ) is a luxuriously appointed long-range business liner that offers passengers top-of-the-range comfort with all the flexibility of a private jet experience.
The ETOPS safety certification was granted to TAG Aviation by the UK CAA under European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations following the successful demonstration that all the necessary airworthiness, maintenance and operational requirements for the jet are in place.
The corporate jet can now be used on luxury charters and premium business trips travelling on the shortest routes between destinations.
“The granting of the ETOPS capability for the Airbus sets new standards in terms of an improved passenger experience and allows us to establish more direct flight plans between departure points and final destinations, with consequent reductions in journey times, enhanced operational efficiency and cost effectiveness,” said Andrew Hodgson, Director of Charter Europe, TAG Aviation.
The Airbus ACJ A319 has the range to fly intercontinental distances as well as non-stop within continents. Holding up to 19 passengers and equipped with the latest in-cabin technology and a host of modern amenities the very large cabin cross-section provides unmatched quality and freedom of movement for its passengers, affording luxurious travel to anywhere in the world for those who choose.
TAG Aviation is a global company that includes TAG Aviation Europe, TAG Aviation Asia in Hong Kong and TAG Aviation Middle East in Bahrain. The company offers a broad range of business aviation services including aircraft management, charter, maintenance and FBO/handling. Globally, TAG Aviation manages a fleet of over 120 aircraft, with around 50 available for charter.
