Lufthansa Technik has completed a bespoke interiors project for a wealthy customer from Asia, embellishing the interiors of the client’s jet with fabrics from French luxury brand Hermès.
The project was handled by Germany’s Lufthansa Technik, which is now set to about to redeliver the completed Airbus ACJ319 to the undisclosed VIP customer from the Greater China region.
The completion was performed by Lufthansa Technik's VIP & Special Mission Aircraft Services Division in co-operation with the bespoke division of Hermès, renowned for its expertise in made-to-measure design and upholstery.
With this upcoming redelivery, Lufthansa Technik is further continuing its success story in the Asian VIP market, having outfitted more than 30 different VIP aircraft for customers in Greater China and other Asian countries so far.
The bespoke interior comprises a spacious dining and lounge area, a private master bedroom/office as well as a fully equipped master bathroom featuring a large shower.
The ACJ319 has 19 seats for take-off, 12 of which can be in full-flat sleeping positions. The VIP club-seats and divans have been designed and upholstered by Hermès's craftsmen in Paris. The cabin interior also features some exclusive Hermès fabric on the bulkhead and curtain of the aft cabin.
The aircraft is also equipped with a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment and cabin management system which can be controlled with tablet devices via a cabin wi-fi environment.
Wieland Timm, Executive Director Sales, VIP & Special Mission Aircraft, at Lufthansa Technik, said: "We are extremely proud that we have been able to establish Lufthansa Technik as the market leader for VIP completions and technical services in Greater China and Asia.
