The Dubai Watch Week is set to grow in size and stature and will feature more than 60 industry legends and brands in its 2017 edition this November.
Now in its third edition, the annual event is organised by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and held under the patronage of HH Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, in association with the Fondation de Haute Horlogerie (FHH).
The event, considered a platform of horological knowledge sharing and creative inspiration, will take place from November 16 to 20 as it prepares to welcome thousands of visitors.
After a raft of positive feedback following the 2016 edition, the show is set to be bigger and better under the 2017 theme ‘Classic and Contemporary’.
The theme explores the evolution of watchmaking, by bringing the industry’s rich heritage to light as well as championing its innovation and creativity - connecting the past to the present. In addition, the show plans to add more masterclasses, creative hubs and panels to the agenda that are set to surprise and delight visitors.
Melika Yazdjerdi, Director of Dubai Watch Week and Senior Marketing & Communication Director, said: “Following on from its phenomenal success last year, we are delighted to be hosting Dubai Watch Week for its third edition. This is a one-of-kind platform that promotes the sharing of information – everything from the individual stories behind each brand including technical movements, materials, and mechanisms to consumer trends and the future of watchmaking. This year we will carefully design an attraction that will appeal seasoned watch collectors, watch enthusiasts and visitors of the fair.
The 2017 agenda will feature an exciting programme filled with exclusive VIP events, workshops, watchmaking master-classes as well as talks some of the watch world’s most eminent personalities.
Established in 2005, the FHH’s partner brands include A Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, Bovet 1822, Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Christophe Claret, De Bethune, F P Journe, Girard-Perregaux, Greubel Forsey, H Moser, Hermès, HYT, IWC, Jaeger-Lecoultre, Louis Vuitton, MB&F, Montblanc, Officine Panerai, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, Richard Mille, Roger Dubuis, Tag Heuer, Vacheron Constantin, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
