Lamborghini delivered a total of 2,091 cars to customers in the first six months of this year, an increase of 4 per cent over the same period of 2016.
These included 1,400 Huracán cars and 691 Aventador models.
In June, the Huracán also reached the important milestone of 8,000 cars produced in just three years since its launch.
Meanwhile, work is proceeding on expansion of the production site in Sant’Agata Bolognese from 80,000 sq m to 160,000 sq m in readiness for launch of the Urus super SUV in 2018.
Lamborghini has also opened a new office within the new area, certified to Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum standard, the highest in the world for energy and environmental certification in construction.
This is the first office within an Italian manufacturing site to receive this green certification.
The new structure excels in energy efficiency (class A+) and water efficiency, thanks to state-of-the-art cladding and glazed surfaces, designed to guarantee natural light in 90 per cent of the spaces and to limit thermal dispersion and overheating.
