Montblanc’s new Essential Sartorial Collection has gone on sale at its boutiques across the world.
Created for men who take their style to new levels of elegance and sophistication, the new cufflinks, tie bars, tiepins and money clips combine classic design codes with an unexpected edge.
The Montblanc Essential Sartorial collection is made up of seven different themes for a different look seven days of the week, with new pieces in silver and gold enriching the core steel collection.
Inspired by tailoring, a checked pattern on rectangular stainless steel cufflinks recalls stitching in the first theme. The double face design reveals the pattern on one side and a satined surface on the other. A matching money clip with a double mechanism and a sleek tie bar complete this tailored assortment.
A second look pairs steel with the elegance of black onyx for a new classic line-up. The round cufflinks are adorned with a facetted onyx inlay. A money clip features a refined 3 rings-motif with a matching tie bar set with onyx. A multifunctional stainless steel and onyx tiepin can be worn in the lapel, on a tie or on a scarf.
The three-ring motif is the cornerstone of the third theme, with the simple and pure aesthetics of a pair of steel cufflinks revealing a smart functional stirrup mechanism. The ring motif is applied to a money clip with the Montblanc name etched on the edge.
Like the classic striped pattern on a man’s tie, the fourth theme brings a precious resin inlay to the stainless steel surface of a cufflink to create the striped effect. An unexpected addition to a traditional round cufflink, the genuine alligator leather inlay gives a set of steel cufflinks an air of masculine sophistication.
The introduction of silver is central to the design of the sixth theme. Combined with untreated onyx inlays, each piece is unique because of the natural inclusions. Three different sets set onyx in different styles on the silver: a concave inlay on an oval cufflink, at the centre of a bowl shape with a ruthenium finish or inside a special round Montblanc frame.
Red gold makes its appearance in the final design theme. A pair of cufflinks is decorated with the snowcap emblem at the centre of a round frame of red gold and on the additional fixed post of the cufflink. An onyx inlay adorns the second red gold variation, surrounded by the three-ring motif in gold, creating a more extravagant effect.
