BAE Systems will showcase its broad aerospace expertise, including exhibiting the Hawk advanced jet trainer aircraft and the Eurofighter Typhoon, at the Bahrain International Airshow 2018 (BIAS).
In addition, the company’s comprehensive air crew and ground crew training services will also be showcased at BIAS.
The stand will also feature a Commander SL air defence radar and a Hawk flight simulator. An RAF Typhoon is also confirmed to fly a display each day during the show.
BAE Systems will be a Gold Sponsor at the BIAS. The agreement, which was signed in July at the Farnborough International Airshow held in the UK, makes this the fifth consecutive show in which BAE Systems has shown its support to BIAS, as the leading defence and security company was one of the first companies to participate in the show when it was launched in 2010.
In 2016, as part of the 200th anniversary of Bahrain-British relations, BAE Systems, in conjunction with RAF Museum, created a special heritage display which included a replica of a WWII Supermarine Spitfire which was assembled by Bahraini students. This took centre stage outside the exhibition hall alongside a full-scale replica of the Eurofighter Typhoon.
